I have owned an Irish Setter since 1974 when I purchased my first puppy from Margaret Jones of Kian Kennels. She was a lovely pup who died very shortly after from what we never knew. 

I then received from Margaret a replacement bitch named Merewyn Rossel O'Clare. She did not turn out as a show dog as she had HOD when no one had HOD. But she was an excellent friend for many years.

Our second dog also came from Margaret Jones and he was Ch. Kians King of Hearts (Joshua).  He was our first show dog and was our foundation dog for Kenerin Kennels Reg'd.

One week before our wedding in 1985 I drove to Calgary to pick up our foundation bitch from Sandy Villeneuve (Rossels) She was Rossels May Magic.

We have never been without an Irish since and probably never will be. We have been truly blessed to have had many beautiful Irish Setters pass through our lives.
